Only 2 available

The nocturnal animals featured in this stamp issue all live within the forest regions of south-eastern Australia. They include the Yellow-bellied Glider (Petaurus australis), the Barking Owl (Nixox connivens), the Spotted-tail Quoll (Dasyurus maculatus), the Brown Antechnius (Anthinus stuartii), the Platypus (Ornithorhynchus anatinus) and Dingo (Canis lupus dingo).

Hidden in the minisheet are also the Marbled vlevet Geeko (Oedeura marmorata), the Diamond Python (Morelia spilota spilota) and Huntmans Spider (Family Sparasidae).

Fun fact: the male Brown Antechnius only lasts one season as he exerts so much energy in breeding — up to 18 hours of non-stop sexual activity that he dies shortly after.
